Things to Do

It is not too hard to brag about our Home here...................Some or our favorites and more can be found here on the 'Links' page

  • Greektown

Greektown has served as an ethnic retailing district for more than 140 years.  The area started as a pioneer farm, evolved into a German area, and finally served as a Greek dominated neighborhood.  The region is comprised of Victorian two and three-story commercial and industrial buildings.

Greektown is home to over 20 great restaurants (ranging from fine dining to authentic Greek fare), pastry shops and the Greektown Casino.  The famed Astoria Bakery, located on Monroe Street, serves up classic Greek pastries and desserts.  If you're in the mood for something hearty, head over to New Hellas Café (featured on the Emeril Live Show) or Pizza Populous.

  • Casinos, Casinos, Casinos

Lady luck has taken up residence in Michigan. Once confined to the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas and Atlantic City, she has sought out and found homes all across Michigan. Detroit itself boasts three casinos, with several more scattered across the state, and all offer venues filled with gaming, dining, and nightlife. Whether gamers want to join a lively game of craps, settle in to outlast a slot machine, or sample the fine dining and entertainment nearby, Michigan’s casinos have what you’re looking for.

No visit to Metropolitan Detroit is complete without experiencing the Casinos both in Detroit and across the river in Windsor, Ontario (Yes, Canada!)  See our 'Daily Trips' page here....
